History oh Health Healing Network Burundi(HHNB)

HHNB was founded based on bitter local and Africa's context of morbidity and mortality due to poor health mostly related to the burden of big preventable killers in tropical countries such as Poverty-Related preventable Diseases(PRDs): HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and other Chronic and Non-Communicable Diseases(CNCDs) such Diabetes and other Cardio-vascular conditions who are slopping upward than it used to be some decades ago locally and Africa wide.
Burundi is one amongst many other African countries that experiences those PRDs and CNCDs with heavy burden on population's health and financial status as their affect the most of available task force and negatively affect the state budget that would be otherwise used in the whole process to development.
Being aware of such situation and knowing that the Government via the Ministry of public health and AIDS control it self wouldn't solely meet the population's need for better health, founder members considered that each one's initiative were necessary to contribute towards the promotion of public health.
In line with the above statements and additionally
- Considering the importance of good health as root to headway
- Being aware of and recognizing the considerable suffering and hardship geared by the PRDs and CNCDs
- Solicitous to promote family well being and participate to the response on public health concerns
- Convinced that ''Union makes strength'' and
- Engaged to struggle for better human health
Found members were inspired by such unmet need and overall passion related to poor public health creating a gap that need to be closed, hence creating this not for profit organization to participate and contribute for better public health.
